A 4-1 loss today against Lowland league side Civil Service Strollers in our first pre season match was not the way we wanted to start ,but it was obvious that the hosts had been playing their fourth friendly and we were playing our first . These games are scheduled to get players match fitness up to standard for the start of the season . An early goal for the hosts and one on the stroke of half time gave them a comfortable scorline to go into the break with .Greg Binnie pulled one back Ten minutes into the second half but two more goals in the last 15 minutes gave the Strollers a comfortable win .Our first team players that were available got good match time along with some of our under 20’s with David Howie and Blair Boyd starting the gameĀ it was a worth while exercise as we prepare now for our home friendly with Pumpherston on Tuesday evening with a 7-30pm kick off .
