Everybody at the club sends our best wishes to you during this festive period and hope you and your families have a healthy festive period . We thank your continued support from all areas as we approach the end of another turbulent year with hope for better in 2022 . We can not thank you well enough for your support through the gates or through our media channels . Our Friends of Broxburn Athletic has been invaluable to the club and we appreciate your contribution to the club . Our keydraw has went on a direct debit payment and this has been a huge success with Johnny still topping up with cash sales round the local Pubs and Clubs through out the community . Our sponsors have stood by the club once more and we again would thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their invaluable funding and wish them success going into 2022 . All the volunteers who help run the club are invaluable to this club and we appreciate all the work they do either publicly or behind the scene ,of which there are plenty , Covid has proved to be a challenge for all and we are no different with protocols we set in place were respected by all attending the Albyn Park and kept us reasonably safe . Protocols were relaxed just recently but with a surge in the virus we are being urged to be more vigilant and bring back some of the protocols we had in place for the foreseeable future .Also spare a thought for those who’s Christmas has been ruined as they have to isolate from the outside world and close family through the pandemic , we feel your pain and frustration’s and hope you come through this a stronger human being . Finally take time to think of those who have lost loved ones this past year who will have someone missing from the dinner table . Please stay safe and strong and we will get through this turbulent period safely together . Anybody who needs to talk to someone do not hesitate to contact us as we will be here for you as you have been for us MERRY CHRISTMAS

BROXBURN ATH V TYNECASTLE POSTPONED
Unfortunately tomorrow’s home game with Tynecastle has been postponed . We spoke to our opponents when there was concerns regarding covid with several players showing symptoms and we were informed at the time Tynecastle backroom staff were all waiting for results from their covid test’s . Both clubs requested the game be postponed in the interest of everyone’s health . The East of Scotland board were informed and granted the request to postpone on the grounds that Broxburn could not field a team . In hindsight the players so far that have taken a test have came back negative , but at the time we were not to know this Currently there are a few still to receive results of their tests (pcr tests ) but we felt at the time it was the right thing to do. The players were due to travel to Newcastle on Saturday night for their Christmas night out , they have cancelled this now with the concerns of the virus . We have a responsibility to our players, coaches , volunteer’s , supporter’s and their families , more so at this time of year . We were due to play Preston in a friendly on Thursday the 23rd but this is now cancelled as is any training this week leaving us hopefully clear to resume a week on Tuesday before we are scheduled to play Linlithgow Rose on Thursday the 30th of December . Please everybody stay safe and keep your families safe and have a wonderful Christmas and we will see this through together .
