The midfielder brings a wealth of experience to Albyn park, having previously played in the senior ranks with Clyde and also a league winner with Berwick Rangers. Greenhill has also tasted success with Spartans in the Lowland League, notching up 148 appearances and 44 goals for the Edinburgh outfit.

Greenhill said: “I’m looking forward to a new challenge with Broxburn Athletic. Hopefully, I will be able to use my experience and knowledge to help the team challenge in a strong league.  It was really difficult to move on from Spartans but I can see the potential at Broxburn and I’m excited to get started.”

Broxburn manager Chris Townsley commented on the arrival of the experienced midfielder:

“We are delighted that David has agreed to join Broxburn Athletic. Signing a player of his calibre and experience is great for the club.   David will bring professionalism and a winning mentality; he will also set high standards for everyone both on the training pitch and in matches.

“He has a track record of contributing goals and assists from midfield which we think, along with his range of passing, will be vital for us this season. Having David at the club is going to be really beneficial for our younger players.  They will see the level of dedication, fitness and desire to improve that they need to have to do well in the game, they will learn a lot from working with him.”
