What a match this was with ourselves coming out on top of a eleven goal thriller . It didn’t start well for us as a long ball caught us out at the back in the first minute and Ben Anthony ran down the left hand side and when reaching the bye line cut it back across the goals for the on running LEWIS McKENZIE TO turn the ball home . two minutes later Alexander Miller crossed for Ross Nimmo who shot well over the bar snatching at his shot . Paul Quinn almost made it 2-0 after nine minutes when he was set up by Anthony but the striker put his shot wide of the goals . Broxburn made them pay a minute later when Moosa Mampuya made a great forward run well into the opponents half and he laid the ball to the feet of SCOTT RICHARDS who fired home giving Lennox no chance . Nicholas Locke saw an attempt go wide after good build up play by the visitors .Two minutes later the hosts took the lead when MCkenzie was sent through on goal on the right hand side of the box and Connor Wallace was adjudged to have brought him down inside the box with PAUL QUINN scoring from the resultant penalty kick . Broxburn equalised on twenty minutes when Richards laid the ball off to NICHOLAS LOCKE who fired home from twenty yards . Just before the half hour great one two between Richards and Moosa saw the later shot saved by Lennox’s outstretched leg .A minute later we had a scare when the ball was cleared from the back post from a Bluebell corner .Nicholas Locke was presented with a penalty kick after Calum rarity pushed Richards as he went for the ball but Lennox made a great save from the captain . Substitute CRAIG SCOTT was played in by Linton and from thirty five yards out he fired a rocket into the top corner to the delight of his team mates . With the time running out on the first half a ball played into the box was handled by the defender and this time ALEXANDER MILLER stepped up and made no mistake from the awarded penalty spot . That was the last action of the half .
The second half started as the first half did .LEWIS McKENZIE went on a run across the park from left to right and fired a shot home from 12 yards . Scott McNaughton forced a save from Lennox after 50 minutes . Broxburn regained their two goal cushion on 55 minutes when Moosa was badly tackled and required treatment .From the free kick Scott Richards floated a ball to the edge of the box and was met by ALEXANDER MILLER who with his back to goal just inside the box he looped a backward header up and over the Diminutive Lennox in the hosts goal .Just before the hour former Broxburn centre half Calum Rarity saw his shot saved by Wallace .ALEXANDER MILLER completed his hat trick in style when running through on goal wide left and from just inside the box he curled a shot into far right top corner giving the keeper no chance .Dundonald were not finished and on 70 minutes a corner into the box was fired goal ward twice and cleared before it broke to PAUL QUINN who prodded the ball home to give his side a lift . They were now pressing hard for more goals to get back in the match and the Broxburn defence defended stoutly . Eighty five minutes on the clock and Scott Richards fired a shot of the post and it broke to Alexander Miller but the striker shot over the bar from an offside position . BRODIE GRAY made it a nervy last couple of minutes for “THE BURN ” when scoring from 22 yards out with two regular minutes left . Despite their best efforts the Bell could not get that elusive equaliser and Broxburn left with three valuable points .
