Broxburn crashed out of the Scottish junior cup going down 3-1 away to Glenafton Athletic . With a patched up squad the lads put in a sterling performance . Broxburn created the first opening on 3 minutes when Anderson put the ball in to Richards but the striker saw his shot go just over . On eleven minutes Conor Lynass tried to get on to a ball at the back end of the box but failed to get a shot away . Wallce in the Burn goals indicated a problem and was replaced by Young Shaun Donoghue .Three minutes later Donoghue made a double save turning the ball around the post for a corner .Half way through the half Richards sent Nimmo down the right and his ball into the box was cut out by the keeper . At the other end Lynass was through on goal but saw his shot saved . Half an hour gone and Scott McNaughton saw a half chance go just wide of the left hand post .Christopher Dallas should have done better when through on goals twice in the the last ten minutes of the half he poorly blasted wildly over the bar .
A minute into the second half and a snap shot by Alan Cairns was saved comfortably .Broxburn went up the other end and Nimmo put a ball into the back end of the penalty box and SCOTT McNaughton STEADIED HIMSELF before curling a shot high into the far corner giving the keeper no chance . Six minutes later the hosts were level when awarded a free kick twenty five yards out DAVID GRAY fired his second free kick in two weeks into the back of the net .Nicholas Locke went on a run into the box two minutes later but saw his attempt saved .Just after the hour mark Dallas headed over from a corner from three yards out .half way through the second half great football created a chance for Mampuya but his shot was desperately cleared of the line .Michael McCann saw a header towards goal saved by Donoghue .Under ten minutes to go a ball into the box was headed on and MICHAEL McCann was in the clear to score easily .Five minutes later the ball was lost in midfield and CAMERON MARLOW scored despite Donoghue getting a hand to the ball . in the dying minutes Shaun Donoghue made a great save to stop more scoring .In the last kick of the ball Ross Nimmo received a harsh second yellow and was subsequently ordered off . A good battling performance but it was not to be .

Broxburn started the game well and in the first minute Nicholas Locke got down the right and played the ball into Ross Nimmo who shot over . Christopher Dallas created the first chance for the visitors when the ball broke to him he shot just wide of the right hand post .A minute later Kieron Anderson made a chance for Scott Richards who saw his shot blocked and cleared from the danger area .The opening goal came half way through the half when Broxburn were awarded a free kick outside the box wide on the right . Kieron Anderson floated a ball into the box and SCOTT RICHARDS rose above everybody to head home .On half hour mark Dallas had a snap shot comfortably saved by Wallace .The visitors got their equaliser when the assistant spotted an infringment wide right just outside the box .DAVID GRAY stepped up to fire the ball into the top corner .Glenafton exerted pressure before half time for a lead but the half finished all square .
Broxburn took the lead on 3 minutes after the restart when Ross Nimmo played the ball into SCOTT RICHARDS who jinked past two defenders and fire home to the delight of the crowd . two minutes later Anderson cut down the left then inside the box before shooting and seeing his shot saved .Broxburn were piling on the pressure and Nicholas Locke gathered the ball on the right ran to the bye line and tried to fire home but the keeper stuck out a leg and the ball was cleared .On 56 minutes a ball in from the left to the back area of the box found Ross Nimmo in acres of space but the winger volleyed the attempt at goal over the bar .Broxburn increased their lead on the hour mark when anderson sent in a corner from the right and CRAIG PURVES scored with a diving header at the back post .half way through the second half there were chance’s for both sides .On 68 minutes Anderson fired in a free kick from 25 yards out and central only for the keeper to push it round his right hand post .Two minutes later Nimmo set up Anderson but his flick shot went just wide .With time running out it looked bleak for the visitors when Alistair Park was ordered off after receiving a second yellow card on the 89th minute mark .A minute into injury time a free kick into the box wasn’t dealt with and JOSEPH ANDREW scored to give his side a chance . With five minutes injury time played the visitors got another free kick this time on the left and KYLE MCAUSLAND got in the box and scored to send his side into raptures and earn his side a replay they hardly deserved .There was no time to restart the game as the restart the referee blew for time up .
