Broxburn started very well and early on Cameron Ross showed he was in the mood when getting to the byeline and forcing an early corner . Fraser McLaren made a good run down the right for the hosts but his excellent ball into the danger area found no takers on nine minutes . Liam Peden made a good run into the box that Connor Wallace saved well before John Grant cleared the danger . On 29 minutes Scott Richards sent in a free kick that caused mayhem in the box before the home defence cleared off the line . The opening goal did come after 31 minutes when ALEXANDER MILLER got into the box before being brought down and the on form striker made no mistake from the spot . Within three minutes both Richards and Ross saw shots blocked and cleared as Broxburn turned the screw . Miller saw an attempt deflected for a corner on 39 minutes . Cameron Ross , two minutes later , saw a shot well saved from point blank by Daniel Laing in the hosts goal . The first half was running down and Ross saw a shot go just over the bar from a corner . Dunbar could have equalised when a corner into the box was cleared off the line by Donaldson . The last opportunity of the half fell to Scott Richards who was set up by Ross but the big keeper pulled off another save to keep his side in the game .
Early in the second half a ball into the box was cleared off Miller’s head by the defence as the striker was about to steer the ball home . Lloyd Fiddler tried an effort from 30 yards out but went harmlessly over the bar . With 51 minutes on the clock a Richards throw in found Ross who saw an other fine save at the expense of a corner . From the corner GORDON DONALDSON headed the ball past a crowded six yard box into the net . A Richards free kick into the box was met by Grant Gavin but once more the keeper showed his worth to the home side . This was the procedure for the second half with Ross and Miller finding it difficult to get past Laing . The home side got back into the game on 76 minutes when a ball into the box was bundled over by STEVEN TAIT . . Unfortunately for the goal scorer that was his last contribution to the game when three minutes later he received a second yellow card for a rash tackle on Richards three minutes later .The game was bit one sided with Laing continuing to defy the Broxburn Strikers . Dunbar could have sent the game into extra time in the last minute when a ball into the box found the visitors defence posted missing and Fraser McLaren had a free header four yards out that he will be disappointed about as it went past the right hand post .

A minute later Kelly was through In the box on the right hand side but pushed his shot wide of the left hand post .Liam Pedan lined up a free kick on 35 minutes on the right hand side from 30 yards out but sent it just over the bar . The opening goal came three minutes later when Dunbar had a throw in in line with the 18 yard box Donaldson tried to head the ball away but glanced it into the path of STEVEN TAIT who made no mistake from 8 yards out to give the home side the lead . A flash point just before the half time whistle saw Christopher Gray being ordered off for the home side .
Broxburn came out the traps the second half and in 48 minutes Richards sent a ball out wide to Andrew Gillen who saw his ball into the box was cut out .Craig Scott saw his shot in 53 minutes sail over the bar . The equaliser came on 66 minutes when a long ball sent ALEXANDER MILLER run through and under pressure volleyed the ball home from the edge of the box . Broxburn piled on the pressure and the second goal came when Craig Scott floated a ball to the back post from the right where Miller headed back across the goal mouth and CONNOR KELL knocked the ball home on 73 minutes . A free kick into Miller saw the strikers attempt saved . The game was over when on 80 minutes , with Miller again at the back post squared to CONNOR KELLY who scored from close in . Dunbar had a let off on 85 minutes when a poor pass back to the keeper was pressed by Greg Binnie and the Liam McCathie in the home goal blasted the ball off him but lucky for him fell back into his own arms . In the last minute Shaun Harrison mistimed his tackle as Dean Ballantyne ran into the box and was brought down by the attempt . Dean dusted himself down and took the penalty that Connor Wallace saved diving to his right hand side . A good three points against a good side , with as good a second half performance as we have produced all season . we now move on to home game against Hill of Beath in the league

Cameron Ross made a good run through but Mitchell in the hosts goal smothered the ball . On fourteen minutes Calum McDowall got into the box but Conor Wallace saved at his near post . Two minutes later he watched a Conor Kelly shot go past his right hand side from the strikers right hand side of the park . A good ball into the box from a Beesley corner saw the hosts scramble it clear . Good play half way through the half when Ross sent in Binnie who in turn laid the ball back to Kelly who shot over the bar . Two minutes later Jack Beesley sent in a dangerous free kick from left to right but the ball whizzed through the box with no takers . On 27 minutes a good piece of play so a good ball out to McDowell on the right but his ball was just too strong and it went harmlessly out for a bye kick . At the other end a minute later Binnie cut a ball back from the bye line to Ross Nimmo who laid it off to Cammie ross who’s shot was blocked . Richard Hutton should have done better when through one on one with Connor Wallace with Connor coming out best to save from the Blackburn forward . A corner for the visitors on 36 minutes found Greg Binnie who shot over the bar . Cameron Ross got the ball into the box with five minutes remaining of the half but the keeper punched clear . Blackburn had the final shot of the half when John Drummond shot wide right of Wallace’s post .
In the first minute of the second half David Howe should have done better with a free header that went wide left . Kelly saw a good header saved from a ball in from the right . The visitors doubled their lead on 55 minutes when ROSS NIMMO pounced on a poor ball out to run in and fire past Clements in the host’s goal . The referee had only due noted the goal when another mistake at the back saw GREG BINNIE gather the ball before running through on goal and firing into the top left hand corner giving Clements no chance . On seventeen minutes Linton set up Locke but the captain couldn’t get any power in his shot and Clements saved comfortably . Blackburn got a lifeline on 71 minutes when a Craig Young free kick in from the left sailed over everybody to find STUART MacLEOD at the back post to score the easiest of chance’s . Nicholas Locke saw a shot go wide right of the target . With seven minutes remaining Blackburn turned the pressure up on the visitors who were comfortably in front .A ball in from the right found unmarked RICHARD HUTTON who powered a header home to make it a nervous finish for the visitors .Cameron ross had the final chance of the game with 4 minutes remaining but shot past the right hand post from the left hand side of the box .
Comfortably leading 3-0 and pegged back a bit credit to Blackburn who never gave in but a deserved win in the end as we go into a big cup fortnight .

Broxburn were on level terms half way through the second half when a good one two between Miller and Beesley saw the ball into the box met by the head of NICHOLAS LOCKE and was delighted to see the ball squirm through Brian Kinnear’s hands into the net . Level terms did not last long when a minute later a ball into the edge of the six yard box saw a melee of touches before DAVID MORRISON poked the ball home . Jack Beesley shot wide two minutes later as the visitors tried to get back on level terms . With fourteen minutes remaining Cameron Ross set up Craig Scott who’s rocket stung the keeper’s fingers as he tipped it over the bar . A minute later Ross again was the provider this time Miller headed over the bar . Broxburn were really pressing now and Donaldson set up Ross out on the left but his shot was saved . The pressure paid off on 83 when they were awarded a free kick just inside the Camelon half Michael Linton slid the ball to the unmarked CRAIG SCOTT forty yards out who looked up and fired a rocket into the roof of the net . In the dying embers of the game both sides had chances . Donaldson saw a shot turned for a corner .The corner came in and Miller headed just over the bar with the keeper beaten . At the other end Sneddon headed just wide right and in injury time Tiwi Daramola fired in a shot that Connor Wallace done well to parrie clear . Broxburn increased their lead on 53 minutes when a long ball out from Wallace found Locke who sent Cameron Ross down the right and his cross was met at the back post by GORDON DONALDSON who headed past Henderson . Jack Beesley saw a cracking free kick head for the top left hand corner but Henderson tipped it round the post for a corner . With 65 minutes gone Shaun Harrison sent in a free kick from 30 yards out that went of the startled keeper for a corner . With 16 minutes remaining Alexander Miller left defenders in his wake as he cut into the box along the bye line , avoiding several tackles and he cut the ball across the box but the home defence cleared th ball from the danger area . Broxburn got their fourth on 76 minutes when Miller gathered the ball on the right and squared it into the middle of the box for CONNOR KELLY to fire home from eight yards . The homesters got a goal back with three minutes left and the Crossgates forwards carved open the defence before passing to LEWIS CROSBIE who slid the ball under the advancing keeper who accidently clashed with each other with the goalscorer picking up a bad injury that saw him go to get checked out at hospital . Crossgates were not finished as they quickly got an other when a ball into the box caught the visiting defence with their eye off the ball before LEWIS SAWER fired home in injury time . Two late goals were disappointing to loose but a good performance and team work were there to see and we hope we can take this on to Saturday’s game at Camelon in the league with a 2-30pm kick off .
