Broxburn started the new season with 6 of the new signings in the starting line up . In three minutes Broxburn forced a corner which was cleared from the right out for a throw in on the left . Three minutes later good play down the right saw Craig Henderson try his luck from wide right 35 yards out but was wide right of the target . The hosts sent a good free Kick into the box that Jack Sayers did well to turn for a corner .  Gordon Donaldson made a good run down the left passing to Jordan Orru who’s cross into the box came of a defender and went safely into the arms of Dean Bevridge in the Vale’s goal . The deadlock was broken on 17minutes when THOMAS PENKER got on the end of a ball into the box where he fired into the bottom left hand corner from ten yards out .Half way through the half , with a bit more composure they could have doubled their lead when Dylan Weldon was put through wide right in the box but fired wildly wide of the target .  The visitors made them pay in 29 minutes when a corner into the box was headed back across the box by Dan Nimmo and the ball fell to GRY BRASS who from an awkward position managed to force the ball past the defender and keeper .  Daniel Garvey saw an attempt to equalise  go high and wide a minute later    . With ten minutes of the half left Henderson shot high and wide . A minute later  Broxburn took the lead when good play on the right saw a final pass to DARREN DOWNIE who kept his composure to lob the keeper from the edge of the box to open his account . The lead was short lived as two minutes later a lapse in concentration at the back saw a cross ball find KYLE MITCHELL free inside the box on the left who fired home the equaliser .  In a sea saw first half a minute later , Jack Sayers and Andrew Gillen combined before the latter  sent a great cross into the box and found the head of DARREN DOWNIE  who headed home for a first half lead .

Broxburn made a change at half time bringing on Ross Nimmo for David Churchill .Darren sent a free kick crashing off the wall as he seeked his hat trick on 52 minutes . A minute later a corner into the box saw Dan Nimmo head back across the box where Downie’s header was cleared off the line . Just past the hour mark the visitors made another change  With Errol Douglas coming on for Gary Brass . This move paid off three minutes later as Douglas gathered the ball wide left cut inside beating a couple of defenders along the bye line before laying it on a plate for ROSS NIMMO three yards out to turn it home , and double the visitors lead . A minute later CRAIG HENDERSON won the ball and barged his way through the defence before firing home to more or less seal the points . The visitors could have made the score line more impressive as Greg Binnie running into the box on the right saw his shot on the turn stopped by Dean Bevridge .

With no more action Broxburn were delighted to take a victory at a difficult venue and we will endeavour to carry the performance   forward into the next match at home on Tuesday the 2nd of August to Musselburgh Athletic in the league with a 7.30pm kick off

Tranent Juniors v Broxburn Athletic

Pre Season Friendly: Tranent Juniors v Broxburn Athletic – 12 July 2022

Broxburn made the trip down to East Lothian to face last season’s East of Scotland champions Tranent Juniors. The Brox made 6 changes to the starting line up from last Saturday against Dundee North End, Donaldson, Jeffries, Newall, Churchill, Brass and Douglas replacing Nimmo, Sayers, Clark, McConnell, Downie and Binnie.
Both sides took time to settle into their passing on a glorious night for football at Foresters Park.
In 7 minutes Donaldson floated a nice free kick down the right with Anderson forcing a corner off Broxburn’s Donaldson. Harrison headed strongly clear from the corner.
Broxburn responded in 9 minutes Douglas laying the ball off to Churchill who’s run forward was blocked the ball breaking to the right and hitting off Newall and safely through to Scott in the home goal.
In 11 minutes a let off for the visitors with Currie finding Maughan down the right and his cross was caught on the volley by Docherty 25 yards out and his effort crashed off the bar.
The left was proving a good area to attack for the home side Greig sending in a cross which Maughan got to but diverted the ball wide of the left post.
The Brox responded well creating a chance from an Orru cross which Newall did well to strike a good shot which the Scott parried away and was cleared by the defence.
Good combination play from Douglas, Churchill and Brass resulted in Brass’s shot being blocked. The ball was switched wide to Douglas who sent over a great cross but they were no takers in red to convert.
In 17 minutes Anderson was fouled 25 yards out, Simpson took the free kick but was too high and cleared the bar.
Tranent continued to make ground down their left Docherty this time cutting inside to fire off a great shot which Wallace had to dive full length to save.
The chances continued to fall for the home side Maughan being sent in on goal but a heavy touch allowed Wallace to smother at his feet.
In a very open game in 24 minutes McConnell played a nice pass to Churchill who advanced and cracked a great shot from 25 yards which Scott tipped over the bar when it seemed destined for the top corner.
Neat play again in midfield saw Anderson play a pass to Docherty on the left , he once again advanced and hit a shot which just went past the right hand post.
It was no surprise when the opening goal arrived from the left hand side Greig’s cross was met by MAUGHAN whose shot went into the net past Wallace.
It was Docherty again who created another chance for the home side this time cutting inside past Newall but his shot was straight at Wallace.
In 43 minutes Simpson hit a great drive from 25 yards but once again Wallace pulled off another great save.
HALF TIME: Tranent Juniors 1 – 0 Broxburn Athletic
Changes for the start of the second half Broxburn replaced Jeffries with Clark.
Tranent introduced Stevenson and Sommerville for Bauld and Murphy. Carter replaced Scott in the home goal.
In 48 minutes Broxburn were close to an equaliser Newall clipping in a nice ball for Brass to get his head to which Carter did well to tip over. From the resulting corner Harrison headed wide.
There were shouts for a penalty in 51 minutes as Douglas tried to get past Barr but the referee wasn’t impressed and allowed the game to continue.
In 57 minutes Sommerville did well to cut out an Orru cross with Brass ready to apply a finish.
On the hour the Brox made 7 changes, Gillen, Donaldson, McConnell, Churchill, Newall, Brass and Douglas going off. Sayers, Downie, Binnie, Murray, Henderson, Greenhill and Gray.
Tranent made 2 changes in 63 minutes Miller and Archibald coming on Currie and Simpson going off.
The Brox changes had a positive impact Gray showing great persistence in battling to get a ball through to DOWNIE who slotted the ball into the net in 65 minutes.
In 69 minutes Sayers played a nice ball down the right to Downie who gathered and put over an excellent ball into the home penalty box but it didn’t drop to a red shirt and the danger was cleared.
With the visitors in the ascendancy things suddenly fell apart in a 3 minute period, from a throw in on the right in 71 minutes no one picked up Anderson who rolled the ball across the Broxburn box where MAUGHAN had the simple task to tap the ball into the net from 3 yards.
Worse was to follow Clark had to be withdrawn after picking up a knock, Tranent agreed to Broxburn being allowed to bring back on Gillen but a foul by Murray on Stevenson in the penalty box gave MAUGHAN a chance to complete his hat trick from the penalty spot which he duly did.
In 80 minutes Orru advanced down the left and passed inside to Gray who beat his man neatly and fired a shot just wide of the right hand post.
In 83 minutes Sayers was caught in possession by Greig who cut the ball back for Docherty but the winger fluffed his shot straight to Wallace.
Greenhill fed Gray with a couple of minutes left who collected the ball , advanced and struck another shot this time just wide of the left hand post. Tranent broke up the other end of the park Docherty dispossessing Sayers and got to the bye line but Wallace saved well smothering the wingers effort.
Another decent work out for Broxburn with lots of positives to be taken against a very sharp Tranent side who on this showing will acquit themselves well in the Lowland League.
Broxburn continue their pre-season build up when Bo’ness United come calling on Saturday to the Albyn.
FULL TIME: Tranent Juniors 3 – 1 Broxburn Athletic

League Cup Quarter Final – Whitehill Welfare v Broxburn Athletic – 20/05/2022

Broxburn travelled to Ferguson Park in Rosewell for their much anticipated League Cup quarter final. The visitors made 3 changes from last weeks win against Sauchie, Donoghue replacing Wallace in goal, Harrison for Murray and the injured Ross Nimmo being replaced by Binnie.

The home side made 2 changes from last Saturday’s loss at Inverkeithing, Burrows and Walker coming in for Wilson and Thomson.

In the 2nd minute an excellent run by ex Brox player Ireland beating Newall all ends up but he couldn’t find a team mate with his cross. Seconds later and Weir was played clean through but was denied by a brilliant save from Donoghue.

Broxburn responded well in 5 minutes from a Brass head flick Gillen cracked a rasping drive off the underside of the bar.

The Brox continued to go forward Brass again controlling well finding Donaldson who beat 2 defenders before feeding the ball to Barker whose cross was blocked for a corner. Greenhill delivered the corner deep to the back post Donaldson won the header and headed back across goal but there were no takers in stripes.

Thomson came on for the hosts in 10 minutes for the injured Walker.

In 15 minutes Whitehill had another glorious chance Newall mis-controlled the ball leaving Burrows in the clear, Newall clearly pulled Burrows jersey which the referee did not see which was enough distraction to allow Donoghue to collect the ball.

From a Nicol cross Brass won the header but it deflected out for a corner. A nice short corner routine between Greenhill, Binnie and Nicol saw the latter shoot but too far to the right of the goal.

Harrison was booked in 26 minutes for kicking the ball away/dissent. From the free kick McKinlay put over a great ball which was flicked on and just out of reach of Shyngle.

Whitehill continued to press Weir this time on a great run down the left beating 2 defenders but his cut back couldn’t find a colleague.

Ireland was next to set off on a run down the left beating 3 defenders but was eventually crowded out.

With the hosts in the ascendancy they won a penalty Weir having been brought down at the edge of the box on the left. Connor took the penalty poorly straight at Donoghue who pulled off the save.

Broxburn ended the half a little better an intelligent ball from Greenhill down the right found Gillen his cross was flicked on towards goal by Barker but was cleared. Right on half time Greenhill stuck a sweet shot from 25 yards out which Dibaga had to save.

Half Time: Whitehill Welfare 0 – 0 Broxburn Athletic

In 53 minutes Brass played the ball wide to Newall who fired in a good cross which Dibaga in the home goal came out to claim with Binnie ready to pounce.

Greenhill was booked for handball a minute later which didn’t look intentional. Burrows fired the resultant free kick wide.

Broxburn were doing a little better from open play and from a good deep Newall cross Barker made a desperate lunge at the ball but just couldn’t direct on target.

In 57 minutes Broxburn had a succession of corners Harrison heading down towards goal but blocked by Miller. Dibaga then had to tip Greenhill’s next kick over his bar.

On the hour a Greenhill foul saw him receive a second yellow and then a red card for his second bookable offence.

In the following minute O’Neill was booked after a heavy challenge on Donaldson.

Brass was then booked for a foul on Miller.

The game was now being perpetuated by a lot of fouls McKinlay receiving a yellow card for a foul on Newall in 68 minutes.

In 71 minutes O’Neill got in a shot on goal which deflected through to Donoghue.

Broxburn then created a real opportunity a minute later a Binnie cross was blocked breaking to Brass who turned and hit a fierce shot which Dibaga did well to beat clear, Donaldson then appeared to be impeded going for the loose ball but incredibly was booked for diving, no penalty awarded.

Within a minute Donaldson committed a foul and was promptly shown a second yellow and a red card reducing the visitors to 9 men.

Whitehill almost took the lead in 74 minutes McKinlay hit the bar from 25 yards with the Brox defence scrambling clear.

In 75 minutes Cowley replaced Binnie. Wilson replaced Thomson for Whitehill.

A further blow for Broxburn in 87 minutes Dan Nimmo picking up an injury Beagley coming on.

Broxburn had a couple of break aways in injury time Brass prominent couldn’t find Beagley on the first occasion but did on the second with the youngsters shot being blocked.

Full Time: Whitehill Welfare 0 – 0 Broxburn Athletic

Into extra time with another yellow card brandished appearing to be Burrows of Whitehill. Weir then had a great shooting opportunity but shot wildly over.

The deadlock was broken in 94 minutes with the home sides numerical advantage paying off, Mendes slipping the ball to Burrows back to Ireland whose deep cross was met by WEIR who slid the ball past Donoghue.

In 96 minutes Burrows was replaced by Burns.

McKinlay was then sent clear but took a terrible touch allowing Donoghue to collect.

Beagley then got a shot on target for the Brox forcing a save from Dibaga.

Extra Time Half Time: Whitehill Welfare 1 – 0 Broxburn Athletic

Into the second period of extra time with the home side seeming quite happy to sit on their lead.

Broxburn sent Harrison forward into the attack. Wilson replaced McKinlay.

Then a bizarre mistake from Dibaga as he attempted to clear the ball bobbled in front of him, his attempted clearance struck BRASS on the head and into the net.

Binnie who had been subbed was booked from the bench!

Once again tempers became frayed Mendes and Newall booked as a melee broke out.

In 119 minutes a long throw from the right from Miller broke to Mendes whose overhead kick went wide.

Then with penalties beckoning Miller swung in a cross from the left which SHYNGLE met first time and his shot beat Donoghue and into the net.

Miller was booked for running away with the ball.

In injury time Barker was sent off for dissent and a Whitehill player carried off leaving the teams 10 v 8 as the final whistle blew.

League Cup Group E – Leith Athletic v Broxburn Athletic – 02/04/2022

Broxburn travelled to Peffermill for the top of the League Cup Section decider with high flying First Division side Leith Athletic.

Glorious sunshine and blue sky were once again in evidence but the temperature distinctly chillier than the previous week with a breeze to contend with for both sides. The Brox were able to name an unchanged side from last week’s convincing win at the Albyn against Fauldhouse.

Leith were looking to get back on track after their Alex Jack Cup Final loss to Crossgates Primrose last Sunday.

Broxburn attacked from the kick off Tait making a great run down the right and cross where Ross Nimmo got in front of the home defender but couldn’t get enough on his touch to beat McLellan in the home goal.

Leith had an even better chance a minute later Stewart outpacing Dan Nimmo his cut back was flicked on to Wardlaw in great position on the left side of penalty box but Wallace denied him with a great save.

In an all action start, great play from Ross Nimmo down the right saw a deep cross to the back post which was well defended by Allan to deny Tait who was waiting to capitalise on any error.

Chances continued to be created this time to the home side in 6 minutes Sproule played in 1 on 1 with Wallace but his shot hit the outside of the right hand post.

In 10 minutes Barker won a free kick 25 yards out, Ross Nimmo taking the award and curling a shot round the wall but just wide of the right hand post.

Tait was having a lively game on the left he made good ground, his cut back finding Nicol who found Brass who laid the ball off to Greenhill whose shot was well blocked with the ball running harmlessly through to McLellan.

In 22 minutes another great chance presented itself to the home side Bookbinder being sent through with Harrison down injured. Wallace did brilliantly at the edge of his penalty box to get to the ball and hit it off the Leith player sending the ball spiralling over the bar.

Harrison after treatment was able to continue.

Broxburn’s clearest chance so far came in 24 minutes, Ross Nimmo sending in a cross from 35 yards out, Brass had peeled away off the last defender but with the goal at his mercy headed the ball straight to McLellan.

In 29 minutes Barfoot was booked for Leith.

A real let off for Broxburn on 33 minutes from a Leith corner the ball broke to Bookbinder at the edge of the penalty box, his shot taking a big deflection which had Wallace beaten but went past the post.

Ross Nimmo was a constant outlet for Broxburn down the right putting over another great cross for the late arriving Donaldson to get inbetween 2 home defenders but sending his header over the bar.

Broxburn fashioned a clear shooting opportunity in 40 minutes Tait crossing from left Greenhill getting a touch to it with his head, Leith failed to clear the ball, breaking to Brass who had a clear sight of goal but he shot high over the bar.

Half Time: Leith Athletic 0– 0 Broxburn Athletic

It was Leith’s turn to start on the front foot in the 2nd half Bookbinder being fouled by Greenhill just outside the penalty box to the left. Barfoot took the free kick but was wasteful with his shot which was well over the bar.

Broxburn responded in the next minute a Leith clearance breaking to Nicol 30 yards out but his effort was well off target.

Wallace once again had to look lively at the edge of his penalty box coming out to deny Wardlaw by heading the ball away.

Mair replaced Tait for Broxburn in 50 minutes.

Another long ball forward caused Broxburn issues the ball bouncing beating Harrison but he did incredibly well to recover to put pressure on Wardlaw who dragged his shot wide to the right.

In 54 minutes Barker and Mair combined well down the left with Mair cutting inside and getting off a shot which beat McLellan but not the right hand post.

Newall did well down the right in 63 minutes getting in a cross which keeper McLellan took very well with Brass waiting to pounce.

A minute later Barker was brought down by Allan just outside the penalty box in a central position. Allan was booked for the challenge. Brass took the free kick which he struck well forcing a great save from McLellan diving to his right to tip the ball over the bar.

The home side still looked dangerous Bookbinder dispossessing Newall and taking a few strides forward before striking a shot which Wallace saved comfortably.

From another long ball forward Hand got clear on the left his cross was pin point for SPROULE who fired the ball into the net to give Leith the lead.

It was almost 2-0 a minute later Crolla putting over a great ball to Bookbinnder who had got goal side of Newall but he shot over the bar.

Barker was booked for Broxburn in 71 minutes. Gillan replaced Nicol a minute later. Sproule went off for Leith replaced by O’Hara.

Leith made another change on 76 minutes Hand going off for Turnbull. Dan Nimmo was booked for Broxburn in 80 minutes.

In 81 minutes Broxburn were awarded a penalty a great ball into the box saw Mair had got in front of his marker and certain to have a clear shot but was brought down.

Hume was sent off for Leith in the ensuing protests having been booked already.

Bookbinder was replaced by Mackay for Leith in 85 minutes.

In 86 minutes the Brox almost edged ahead Mair put over a great ball from the left which was flicked on by Brass for the late arriving Newall but he got under his shot and sent his effort over.

In 89 minutes Broxburn broke Leith hearts by grabbing a late winner Mair again involved from a short corner with Ross Nimmo, his cross picked out Dan Nimmo at the back post, he headed back across the goal for BRASS to apply the finish from a few yards .

Beagley came on as a replacement for Barker in 90 minutes.

The substitute almost had an immediate impact doing great work down the left beating 2 defenders before pulling the ball back to Greenhill who shot wide.

A great win for Broxburn with the late late show grabbing two late goals to clinch top place in the section against a very competitive Leith side. The Brox move forward to the last 16. Back to league business next week at the Albyn where relegation threatened Dunbar United come calling.

Coldstream v Broxburn Athletic

ATTENDANCE 110

Broxburn made the trip to the Border with a very depleted squad with injuries cutting the squad to bare minimal . Broxburn started well and forced a corner early doors but nothing came of it . Football was hard to play on a bobbly pitch and the game was a scrappy affair . Gary Brass came close on ten minutes after good play down the right saw the big striker try to turn his shot into the net but never got the pace on it he wanted and the keeper gathered easily . The am player saw a shot blocked and cleared on 18 minutes . The opening goal came from unexpected source when Donaldson and Newall played down the left with DANIEL NIMMO on a run up front got on the end of it and sent the ball high into the net from just inside the box . The only other close thing in the half was when a ball in from a corner for Broxburn saw a Barker effort come of the line .

The second half started well and Harrison saw a header from a corner well saved . Coldstream then had their best spell in the match putting some pressure on the visitors and indeed had the ball in the net but was ruled off for offside . The visitors got back into the game with a reshaped formation and were back in control of the game A bad throw out from Elliot Turnbull in the home goal went straight to Barker who played ANDREW MAIR  through on goal into the box before unleashing a unstoppable shot past the big keeper . Coldstream were not out of it and could have got back in the game when a ball in from the right found Kieran Bullen at the back but his header was easily saved by Donoghue  Andy Mair had a couple of chances to add to the score line but one was blocked and cleared and the other well saved  . With ten minutes of the game remaining a chance to put the game to bed was given when a clear handball in the box gave Gary Brass the chance to score from the spot but Elliot Turnbull made amends for his howler at the second goal by pulling off a great save at the expense of a corner  to keep his side still in the game .

A tough gig for the Brox but a comfortable win in the end in what was a very scrappy affair at times  .We move on to next weeks third game of four against Fauldhouse United at home .

East of Scotland Premier League – Tranent Juniors v Broxburn Athletic –
12/02/2022
Broxburn travelled east to to face title chasing Tranent at a very wet and windy Foresters Park. The Brox
made 4 changes from last weeks 3-1 win against Tynecastle. Dan Nimmo, Nicol, Mair and a Trialist
replacing Newall, Gray, Binnie and Tait.
Tranent made 3 changes from their last game on 29 January, Mason for Swain in goal, with McKenzie
and Knox replacing Greig and McCormack.
The home side made a bright start, Knox and Anderson combining well down the left with the former
firing in a shot which hit Gillen and went out for a corner.
From the corner Bauld won a header at the back post setting up Somerville but his shot hit the bar and
was cleared.
Broxburn were playing against the wind and were struggling to get a foothold in the game Murphy hitting
a shot just over the visitors bar in 5 minutes.
Problems continued to come down the left side Anderson and Knox again prominent. Knox’s cross was a
great one laying the ball on a plate for McIntosh but he somehow managed to scoop the ball over the bar
from 6 yards.
In 7 minutes Mair fouled Knox and from the free kick taken by Stevenson to Rutherford whose cross hit
Gillen the ball bouncing up and hitting his hand. The referee correctly waved away home penalty
appeals.
Broxburn were playing Brass as a lone striker trying to hit him with long balls. The visitors played a nice
move down the left Donaldson’s pass sending Gillen down the wing his cross blocked and cleared by the
home defence.
In 15 minutes a neat move from Tranent down the right with Stevenson playing the ball to Somerville
who fired over a dangerous cross which was well taken low down by Donoghue.
Anderson was having a great game for the home side and in 18 minutes he played a great through ball
to McIntosh but Donoghue was sharp off his line and got to the ball first to deny the striker.
In 19 minutes Broxburn put together their best move again down the left Donaldson hanging up a high
cross in the wind to the back post which Mair won but he couldn’t find one of his colleagues with the
home side clearing.
Broxburn went closer in 24 minutes again good play down the left Greenhill finding the trialist who found
Brass who sent over a great cross Mair sliding in at the back post but he couldn’t direct his effort on
target going just wide.
The Brox were growing into the game now and a great long ball from Greenhill needed a timely
intervention from Bauld to prevent Brass getting a run on goal.
Tranent responded in 27 minutes Knox once again cut in from the left but his shot was straight at
Donoghue. The same player went close again after a Greenhill error shooting narrowly past the post.
In 33 minutes Bauld and Rutherford combined down the left with the cross being well defended by
Murray for a corner. From the corner Donoghue didn’t claim the ball with the visitors defence doing well
to clear their lines.
The trialist played a great ball to Brass 2 minutes later but his shot was well blocked and cleared.
In 37 minutes from a foul on Stevenson, Rutherford took the kick quickly to ANDERSON who was not
closed down and allowed to steady himself before unleashing a 30 yard shot which flew into the top
corner of the net past Donoghue.
In 40 minutes a Knox cross from the left found Stevenson whose first shot was blocked by Nimmo and
his second effort was shot straight at Donoghue.

In 43 minutes from a short free kick taken by Greenhill, Donaldson’s cross was on the money but well
taken by Mason with Brass waiting to pounce on any error.
Half Time: Tranent Juniors 1 – 0 Broxburn Athletic
Tait replaced the injured Mair for Broxburn at the break.
In 47 minutes good work from Nicol as he laid the ball off to Donaldson who cracked a shot from 20
yards but it flew just wide.
Knox put over a dangerous cross from a free kick 2 minutes later which Donaldson won but there were
no Tranent players on hand to provide a finish.
The home side should have doubled their advantage in 55 minutes Stevenson sending McIntosh away
having outpaced Nimmo. Once again the finish was poor firing wide of the post.
Barker replaced Greenhill for Broxburn and in 65 minutes Miller and Docherty replaced Knox and
Somerville.
In 69 minutes following a foul on Tait, Donaldson’s free kick was gathered by Mason but he then dropped
the ball but recovered before any Broxburn player could take advantage.
Broxburn had a real let off in 71 minutes substitute Docherty’s cross being blocked for a corner by
Barker. From the kick the ball broke to Miller whose shot was brilliantly blocked on the goal line by Barker
and scrambled clear.
In 74 minutes Tait won a corner after a good run down the right. He then got in a shot from the corner
which was blocked and his second effort saved at his post by Mason.
In 76 minutes there were loud claims for a penalty when Harrison showed great strength to usher
McIntosh off the ball.
In 83 minutes with Broxburn pushing on to try and grab an equaliser Barker clipped a nice ball through
for the trialist to chase but it just eluded him.
In 84 minutes Wringe replaced McIntosh. Rutherford was then booked for a foul on Tait.
The home side then passed up another opportunity to seal the game Wringe outpacing Nimmo but he
shot wide with Miller unable to divert the ball into the net either.
Into injury time and Miller was booked for kicking the ball away.
With Broxburn all up the field for a free kick the ball was cleared giving a 3 on 1 break away which
Docherty couldn’t convert denied by a great save from Donoghue.
Conditions made things difficult for both sets of players but it was the home side who coped better
leading them to a deserved win. Broxburn put a lot into the game but just couldn’t fashion clear cut
chances especially when conditions were in their favour. A tough game awaits next week against another title contender Penicuik Athletic .
